E-Coating Process Tru-Tone Finishing has multiple cathodic black epoxy e-coat lines which provide a "Class A" finish on a broad range of metal parts. The crucial component in any finishing operation is the proper pretreatment and cleaning of the parts which are to be coated. Tru-Tone's e-coat systems are specialized which allow for different levels and degrees of pretreatment depending on the metal substrate being coated. Aluminum, galvaneal, pre-galvanized, zinc castings, cold rolled steel, etc. all require different levels of cleaning, conditioning, or zinc phosphating for a proper finish. Your typical monorail or auto-indexing e-coat system cannot clean and pretreat every load of parts differently. Only Tru-Tone Finishing has the capability of providing such customized pretreatment. The result of this specialized all reverse osmosis 11-stage pretreatment systems is a properly cleaned, conditioned, and zinc phosphated part regardless of substrate which provides our customers with the "Class A" finish that they demand. A computerized control center constantly monitors and adjusts tank temperatures, and voltages during the actual electro deposition process. This ensures the best quality, and most consistent finish for each load of parts. As each rack exits the cure oven, a sample is taken to evaluate and improve the performance of the e-coat systems. Tru-Tone Finishing goes yet another step in the quest for quality. Here at Tru-Tone, we utilize an off-line cell-system for part racking and final inspection and packaging. Each customer is assigned a specific cell, comprised of rackers, inspectors and packagers, who service that customer every time an order is placed. Each cell, or team, becomes completely familiar with the customer's parts, packaging requirements, and quality needs. In a short period of time, each cell can also anticipate potential problems with each customer's parts as received, so that quality issues can be averted before parts are coated. Again, a typical monorail or auto-indexing e-coat line utilizes rackers and packers, not truly inspectors, on-line racking and packing as fast as the line is moving. One must wonder, how every part can be fixtured or inspected properly with such little time. Tru-Tone's all off-line cell system of racking and inspection provides the time and customized attention to ensure that problem parts do not arrive at the end customer's facility. Tru-Tone Finishing's off-line inspection and packaging provides yet another advantage- customized packaging. Every customer has unique packaging requirements, and the Tru-Tone cell-system allows for specialized packaging for each customer. Whether it be cell pack, bulk pack, individually wrap parts, Tru-Tone's inspection and packaging system allows for any type of packaging requirements. |
