Powder Coating

Powder Coating is an environmentally safe, more durable alternative to solvent based liquid paint. Powder coating is a systematic process utilizing finely ground plastic particles which are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto cleaned metal parts. The parts are then heated, melting the powder and forming a coating which is both physically and chemically bonded to the metal substrate. Because powder coating is physically cross-linked to the metal part, these coatings are typically more durable than conventional liquid coatings.

Tru-Tone Finishing offers unique powder coating processes in our 80,000 sq ft facility. All our equipment and processes are EPA approved and ISO-9001: 2000 certified. We have 4 in-line spray booth's which can accomodate conveyorized mass production or individual parts of any color, chemistry, or textured finish. Parts from the smallest automotive bracket to the size of entire frames can be coated. Utilizing a clean room to limit contaminants, strict automotive industry specifications can also be met.
